Pastors Oscar and Debbie Roberson are a ministry team brought together later in life by God’s design. When they met in 2013, they were widow and widower, having both been blessed with previous spouses of 30+ years.

Both were pursuing more involved ministry opportunities for the next season of their lives and were seeking not only another life partner but ministry partners. They met on Match.com but believe the match was actually made in heaven.

Debbie, an ordained minister, has been involved in church ministry, both preaching and music ministry, for more than 40 years. She had a burning desire to lead a church like Safe Haven Community Church, where biblical preaching is prominent and valued, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to stay connected and encourage others to connect to the body of Christ.

As Senior Pastor, Debbie takes worship and preaching very seriously. Her messages are in-depth and based on the Word of God. She may be best described as a teaching preacher.

Oscar is also an ordained minister who, in addition to being employed in a demanding secular occupation, still contributes majorly to the church in his leadership role as Associate Pastor. 

Both Oscar and Debbie are also ministers of music.

Together, they are the founding pastors of Safe Haven Community Church, established in August 2015.
